Dr. Barbara Marcussen

Dr. Barbara Marcussen completed a residency in eye disease after graduation from Optometry School in Ohio. Additionally, she taught at the University of Alabama Eye Disease Clinic before entering private practice optometry. She is an officer of the Gaston Breakfast Rotary Club and is actively involved in Jaycees, and Gaston County Junior League. By serving on the Board for the Belmont Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Marcussen can effectively make a difference in the community where she practices optometry. Dr. Marcussen is a mentor for Gaston County Schools and enjoys working with children. She is a member of the national, state and local Optometric Associations. Her favorite past time includes spending time with family and friends, reading and traveling.
