Scleral lenses have been life changing for me

After moving to NC from OH I found Dr. Marcussen by doing a search for Scleral lens. My Scleral lens had broken and I needed new ones. I was originally fitted with Scleral lenses at the Havener eye institute @OSU. I have Sjogren’s Syndrome which is an autoimmune disease which in my case leaves me with no tears as well as several other symptoms. Before being fitted with Scleral lenses my eye had gotten to the point that I was unable to see well enough to drive. Scleral lenses have been life changing for me. Dr. Marcussen has fitted me with Scleral lenses twice (lost first ones after a year). I have found Dr. Marcussen to be very thorough and meticulous in making sure my lenses fitted perfectly to the point of ordering new lenses within 2 weeks of the first ones because they were not perfect. Because of Sjogren’s Syndrome my case is somewhat special but Scleral Lenses have changed my life. I highly recommend Dr. Marcussen as well as everyone I have had contact in the office. After my first visit I have been welcomed BY NAME when I walk in the door and treated very professionally as well made to feel like a friend instead of a patient.
